Sign Retroreflectivity: The Rules, the Science, the Solution – Online Training

DATES:   October 26th, with repeat sessions on October 28th and November 4th

New Federal requirements make managing sign retroreflectivity mandatory for all public roads.  Agencies are required to select a retroreflectivity management method by 2012 and have all regulatory signs brought up to standards by 2015.   For more information on these regulations, see: http://safety.fhwa.dot.gov/roadway_dept/night_visib/policy_guide/fhwasa07020/

Using a sign management system can help meet these new federal requirements while limiting the burden on management staff.   This online training, offered by our T2 colleagues in Michigan, will introduce you to the new retroreflectivity requirements and summarize the sign management methods specified by the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

Each session will provide users with the opportunity to learn more about the science behind retroreflectivity and to interact with the experts at Michigan Tech’s Center for Technology & Training (CTT). Three repeat sessions of this workshop are offered to meet your busy schedule.

For more information regarding this session see the training flyer located at: http://michiganltap.org/workshop/brochures/2010-RS_Sign_Retro_Webinar_Oct.pdf
