Pavement Preservation Showcase a Huge Success

Storm Sandy might have wreaked havoc across the state but she couldn’t stop our Pavement Preservation Showcase from being a success.  We were able to reschedule it and keep our original agenda; enabling almost 100 public works folks from around the state to get together with industry experts to learn more about the current state of pavement preservation in Connecticut.

We heard the latest information about crack sealing, chip sealing, SAMIs, microsurfacing, cape and slurry seals, hot-in-place recycling, cold-in-place recycling and rehabilitation using portland cement.  Experts were there to answer questions and we had mini roundtable discussions so that attendees could share their experiences as well.

If you were unable to come to the showcase but would like copies of the presentations, please contact Mary McCarthy at mary@engr.uconn.edu for a copy of the Resource CD.
