On October 23, 2014, the Technology Transfer Center staff, guests and Connecticut’s top transportation leaders honored the 101 transportation professionals who completed one or more of our five different certificate programs in 2014.
There were 34 Road Master graduates, 17 Road Scholar graduates, 12 Legal Traffic Authority graduates, 23 Public Works Academy graduates and 15 Transportation Leadership Academy graduates. It is important to also note that 33 of our 2014 graduating class were members of the CT Dept. of Transportation.
The opening remarks to our ceremony were delivered by Dean Kazem Kazerounian from the School of Engineering at the University of Connecticut. Our keynote speakers for the event were Division Administrator Amy Jackson-Grove of FHWA, Commissioner James P. Redeker of the CT Dept. of Transportation and two graduates – Public Works Director Joe Bragaw of East Lyme and Maintenance Training Coordinator, District 4 Morgan Kennerson of the CT Dept. of Transportation.
The 2014 Connecticut Creative Solutions Award winners were also recognized during the ceremony and each of the winners shared information with the audience about their winning creative solutions.
